Our team of midwives, doctors and nurses puts their effort in your wellbeing from the beginning. For early examinations, sessions for birth preparation, childbirth itself and aftercare we are at your disposal.
Our midwives
Our midwives are experienced, highly qualified and very empathetic. All of them have additional qualifications, from acupuncture to breastfeeding advice, and they speak various languages. Should you choose a personal midwife (paid for by you), she will be at your disposal from birth preparation to aftercare.

Our paediatric nurses
After childbirth, our paediatric nurses take care of you and your baby. They check your baby’s weight daily in the nursery, show you how to bath and wash your child and help you with vital information concerning the care for your baby. Umbilical care, changing diapers, sore butt or cutting the baby’s nails, our nurses are at your side.

Our paediatricians
One of our paediatricians examines your baby right after childbirth and again before discharge. This exam within the first week of your baby’s life is registered in your Austrian “infant health pass”.
During the paediatric ward rounds at Rudolfinerhaus, you can consult the paediatrician at any time. In case of emergency, our team of paediatricians is available around the clock.
