The midwife consultation-hours are free of cost.

The highly qualified team of specialists at the Vienna Rudolfinerhaus is prepared to assist expectant mothers way before their baby’s date-of-birth, so that they can look forward to the wonder of birth full of happiness and pleasure.

The endeavour of the entire team at the Rudolfinerhaus consisting of attending physicians, gynaecologists, paediatricians, anaesthetists, midwives, nursing and health care personnel is to always make the experience of birth and their stay at our private hospital as pleasant and comfortable as possible for the expectant mothers as well as being committed to special and individual wishes.
 

In the course of our midwife consultation hours all expectant mothers interested in experiencing the wonder of birth within the exclusive atmosphere of the Rudolfinerhaus private hospital are invited to take a tour of the facilities every first and third Wednesday of the month: We start at 06:00 p.m. and meet in the lobby right at the front desk. Of course we are also available for individual and personal visits of the facilities and consultancy at any time. Just give us a call and make an appointment! Additionally you have the opportunity to enrol in a special pre-birth course preparing you and your partner for the big day to come.<//font><//u>

The way of giving birth is chosen by the expectant mother herself – whether in sitting or lying position or a water birth. Three delivery rooms are equipped with all state-of-the-art technical devices and boast a comfortable environment just like at home. Water birth tubs and birth stools complete the portfolio.

Our midwives and physicians assisting during the delivery help the expectant mothers satisfying their chosen birth experience. We happily work together with the midwife of your choice or offer a personal midwife-birth. Of course we also provide all methods of pain relief (PDA, etc).

In case of a Caesarean Section both mother and child experience premium care and thereby guaranteed experience a calm start into their life together. Deliveries are regularly scheduled during the 34th week of pregnancy at the Rudolfinerhaus.

The first hours after giving birth belong to the young family! Snuggling and cuddling are most important and only later will mother and child be carefully and thoroughly examined. During the young family’s stay at the Rudolfinerhaus the infant’s hearing will be examined and a hip-ultrasound performed.
A paediatric intensive care room is equipped for all infants being born too early or having breathing disorders.

Our family rooms are most popular for the time after birth – and yes, we also care for the new fathers, who can indulge in the first-class atmosphere and services of the Rudolfinerhaus, Vienna’s leading Private Hospital, and for instance enjoy the culinary delights served by our special hotel staff.
Furthermore the all-around service offers post-delivery exercises and gymnastics, baby massages, breast feeding groups, dietetics, acupuncture, Bach-flowers therapy, homeopathy, TCM and kinesiology. Naturally our culinary offer is part of the all-over experience of giving birth at the Rudolfinerhaus. The menu is imaginative and there are special menus for mothers in childbed – and now you can also choose a special dish prepared by the principles of the 5-elements-cuisine.
