Day clinic

The day clinic of the Rudolfinerhaus offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic measures and is thereby one of the most frequented institutes within Vienna’s Leading Private Hospital in Vienna’s 19th district.

Open daily each and every patient enjoys individual health care services.

After routine surgeries and treatments, such as after an endoscopy, chemo therapy or infusion therapy, comfortable hospital beds are available for post-surgery examinations, observation and relaxation at the day clinic.
For emergencies there is always an emergency-care-ward prepared.

This room is equipped like an OR. Here physicians can perform less complex routine surgeries under full anaesthetics or local anaesthetics.

Gastroscopies, coloscopies, rectoscopies and ERCP-examinations („endoscopic x-ray examinations”) are also performed at the day clinic.

The eye-nose-and-throat clinic is equipped for all standard examinations performed in this medical field, as for instance nose endoscopies and allergy testing.

Neurologic examinations, as for instance:

• EEG
• NLG (nerve conduction velocity)
• EMG (electro myography of the muscles)
• AEP (children’s hearing test) and
• VEP (measurement of cerebric flows during eyesight tests)
  
  are performed here.

The anti-VEGF-therapy is performed against old-age calcification of the retina. An argon laser and a YAG-laser are used to fight capsular fibrosis and eye illnesses occurring because of diabetes.

Spirometry or body plethysmography is performed in cases of dyspnoea, asthma or other breathing disorders. In these procedures the function of the lungs (gas exchange and respiratory resistance) is tested.
