The Orthopaedic Surgery Department in the Rudolfinerhaus includes all areas of orthopaedics, such as a hand and foot surgery as well as major and minor interventions in the musculoskeletal system. These interventions can be done under general anaesthesia, regional or local anaesthesia, in-patient or out-patient stay. For optimal care after accidents and traumatic sports injuries, the Rudolfinerhaus works only with highly qualified attending physicians who deal not only with fresh injuries, but also with chronic complaints. Likewise we perform follow-up operations such as plastic surgery of ligaments, repositioning operations or joint replacements.

Two of the newest generation of arthroscopy carts are available in the Rudolfinerhaus for orthopaedic surgery for minimally invasive arthroscopic interventions in orthopaedic and indications of accident surgery.

Another area of specialization at the Rudolfinerhauses is hand surgery. To most efficiently counteract reductions in use of the hand, whether from injuries or diseases, we have assembled in recent years a team of specialists from three different areas of specialization – orthopaedics, plastic surgery and trauma surgery.
